Cucumber Dill Salad Tips And Tricks
No. 1 --> I love this salad with fresh garden cucumbers. If you don't have garden cukes, any cucumber will work!
No. 2 --> Blender balls really make salad dressing a breeze. I have a few on hand and love to use them for recipes like this. I simply add all of my ingredients to a mason jar, add my blender ball and shake. The mason jar works great because it's fridge and transport friendly while also being easy to handle when you're shaking.
No. 3 --> No one will judge you if you eat this cucumber salad every night of the week. Dill is such a summertime hero. There is nothing better than fresh from the garden dill. It's bright, distinctive anise/celery/fennel flavour is so fun to add to a meal.

Cucumber salad ingredients
The best thing about this cucumber salad is the simplicity of the ingredients, most of us will have them on hand at all times:
- Dressing:
- sour cream
- olive oil
- vinegar
- dill
- salt & pepper
- Salad:
- cucumbers
- red onion

How to make creamy cucumber dill salad
- Combine all dressing ingredients and mix until fully incorporated.
- Slice the cucumbers and onions.
- Toss cucumbers and onions with dressing until coated.
Don't have fresh dill?
Use preserved dill if that's what you have on hand, don't let that stop you from enjoying this recipe. Fresh dill is more fragrant and flavourful, but freeze-dried dill, or even frozen dill, works great in this recipe. If using dried dill, reduce the dill by half.
