Tips + tricks
No. 1 --> Buy your nuts in bulk. Nuts ain't cheap, but they are delicious, so stock up!
No. 2 --> Start checking your almonds for doneness around 12 minutes in the Actrify and 6 or so minutes in a conventional air fryer.
No. 3 --> You'll know they are done when they have hardened slightly but remain chewy in the middle. As they cool, they will get completely crunchy.
No. 4 --> If you wait till they are crunchy throughout - they'll be burnt!
How to make
- Add almonds and coconut oil to air fryer
- Cook for 6-8 minutes for a conventional air fryer, and 10-12 minutes in an Actifry.
- Transfer to a paper towel to absorb extra oil
- Cool on a wire rack, then transfer to an airtight jar
- ENJOY!
How to store
Allow almonds to cool fully before transferring to an air-tight storage container. Your almonds should keep at least a week in a proper container. I love using mason jars for storage purposes.
