Tips + Tricks

No. 1 –> Make this recipe easy on yourself! There’s no need for fancy equipment. Throw all your ingredients into a mason jar with a blender ball and you’ve got a mixing container and a storage container all in one.

No. 2 –> You certainly can substitute brown sugar for white sugar in this recipe, but you’ll be missing the caramel notes that the brown sugar provides. I do recommend brown sugar.

Ingredients

How to make

  1. Grab a mason jar and a blender ball – if you’ve got one. Any airtight container will work, but I prefer to use glass whenever possible.
  2. Measure ingredients and add them straight into your jar.
  3. Screw the lid on to your jar, tightly, and shake until the brown sugar is completely dissolved.
  4. Pour over your salad.

Make ahead

The beauty of this recipe is that it’s incredibly easy to make and has only 3 ingredients. But another bonus to this apple cider vinegar dressing is that is’s great to make ahead.

Whip up a batch of this dressing on Sunday for use in your salads all week, because it keeps well in the fridge for at least 7 days. Just give it a quick shake before using, as the oil and vinegar will separate as shown below.
