Sprinkle the top of each potato with coarse kosher salt to taste.
Add prepared potatoes to the basket of the preheated air fryer and cook at 400f for 30-45 minutes (this time greatly depends on the size of the potato.) The potatoes are done when they pierce easily with a fork, squish with tongs or reach an internal temperature between 204 and 207f.
Carefully remove the baked potatoes from the air fryer.
Place the potatoes on a cutting board and slit open the skin from end to end lengthwise, then squeeze the potato together by then ends.
