A tantalizing twist on snack time with a smoked Chex mix that's drizzled with a spicy sriracha caramel topping, blending heat and sweetness in every bite. This bold concoction promises to deliver an unforgettable crunch that's as addictive as it is unique.
Combine 3 cups rice Chex, 3 cups Life cereal, 2 cups pretzels, 1 cup peanuts, 1 cup almonds, and 1 cup pecans in a large bowl.
Add ½ cup butter, 1 cup brown sugar, ½ cup sriracha, ¼ cup corn syrup and 1 tsp salt to a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-low.
Meanwhile, grease a large sheet pan lightly with oil.
Simmer the sweet sriracha caramel for 3 minutes - then whisk in 1 tsp baking soda. It will foam up, just keep whisking until completely combined and the foam dies down a bit.
Pour the caramel over the party mix and quickly toss to coat.
Dump the party mix into the greased pan - trying to keep the depth even.
Smoke at 200f for 40 minutes, then increase temperature to 300f for 20 minutes. Don't stir or disturb the Chex mix.
Remove from smoker, and allow to cool before breaking into smaller chunks and storing in airtight containers.
