Christmas Crack Toffee
Preheat oven to 375f and prepare a baking sheet by lining with parchment paper and spreading saltine crackers.
Combine salted butter and brown sugar in a medium sauce pan. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
Boil caramel for 5 minutes.
Pour caramel over prepared saltines
Spread caramel over the crackers.
Sprinkle chopped chocolate or chocolate chips over the caramel sauce. Bake in preheated oven for 5 minutes.
After baking, spread melted chocolate in a thin layer over the saltines and caramel. Sprinkle with salt.
cool in the fridge for 1 -2 hours, or until completely chilled. Break apart Christmas Crack and place in storage container.
