In a bid to use my juicer more and expand my horizons, I decided I'd venture my way into green juices. I'll admit, it was with great trepidation, I'm one who's not crazy for green smoothies.
I mean, I KNOW greens are good for me, and for the most part, I do eat a lot of them, but I prefer the flavour to match the texture. I'm a texture person, can't help myself; I can only eat green bananas, I can't eat Jello, I can only eat red meat if it's in the medium to medium well category. If you want to make me gag, give me a ripe banana to eat, or a bite of Jello - it's instant.
Knowing that, you can probably see why I'm so hesitant! This juice really changed my mind. It's vibrant green colour and earthy yet sweet flavour is actually really easy to drink!
Like the Summer Sunshine Juice post, I will add a little nutritional information on the ingredients in this juice! The apple in this juice packs Vitamin C, Vitamin A, some of the B Vitamins, potassium, calcium, magnesium, and phosphorus. They also have trace amounts of iron, copper, manganese, selenium and zinc, as well at the phytonutrient quercetin. Kale has an array of vitamins and nutrients, but is an especially good source of calcium! Pears are nutritionally similar to apples and contain modest amounts of many nutrients, but have decent amounts of both Vitamin C and folic acid, as well as potassium, manganese and selenium.

- Prep and chop all ingredients.
- Process in juicer.
- Drink immediately!
