Kevin bought me a dehydrator a few months ago, because I had the idea that I wanted one and I would really use it. Like regularly.
Turns out I don’t. BUT it is a fun little kitchen appliance to have.
I’ve done jerky, trail mix, various fruit, sweet potato chips and a few other things.
A few weeks ago, I was poking around the internet in my spare time, and I found a photo of a dehydrated orange slice. My curiosity was piqued.
So I tried it. It was amazingly easy and colourful!
I’ve been eating them straight out of the container, pull off the peel and eat the crispy, chewy flesh. I’ve also been adding a slice or two to a cup of tea! Is there a cooler way to boost your vitamin C? I think not!
- Desired Citrus, I used lemons, limes, oranges, grapefruits
- Slice the citrus fruits in a uniform size.
- Spread in a single layer on the trays of your dehydrator.
- Dehydrate at 135f for about 12 hours.
